Clay-Union Electric will award a student with a "Random Drawing" $500 Scholarship at the 84th Annual Meeting.
Clay-Union Electric will award one $500 academic scholarship to a student who plans to pursue an academic degree or certification from an accredited university, college, junior college, technical school or other post-secondary educational institution. Scholarship payment will be made directly to the college, university or school. The scholarship must be used for the 2020 school year. Funds may be used for tuition, books, room and board.
Eligibility requirements for a Clay-Union Electric Academic Scholarship to be considered the student must:
• Live full-time in a residence served by Clay-Union Electric.
• Be a graduating senior attending a high school or an accredited home extended studies program within the counties served by Clay-Union Electric.
• Attend the annual meeting with a parent/guardian who is a member of Clay-Union Electric.
The scholarship will be awarded to the qualifying student the night of the annual meeting, March 31st, 2020, at the Clay County 4-H Center, 515 High St., Vermillion. Proof of enrolment must be presented to Clay-Union Electric before funds will be dispersed but does not need to accompany the application. In the event a student is unable to fulfil his/her enrolment obligations under this program, the award will be forfeited.
Full or part-time employees of Clay-Union Electric, employee spouses or director’s immediate family will be ineligible to apply.
Please dress appropriately as photos will be taken for future use in newspapers, magazines, website, social media and other promotional brochures.
Applications will be available at the Annual Meeting on March 31st, 2020, 515 High St. Clay County 4-H Center, Vermillion.
Registration and Dinner will begin at 5 p.m. with meeting starting at 6:30. Must be present for the meeting as the name will be drawn at the beginning of the meeting. Families are encouraged to join us for the dinner.
